Lonely Sailor

Blue star in the night sky,

Frosty winds with clouds floating by.

Black Sea turning fierce and grim,

Peeping moon behind clouds getting dim.

Crumpled reflection down upon rippled waves,

Surrounded by mountains and black caves.

Small boat far in the distance rides,

On the strong waves as it dances with the tides.

A Thin frail sailor with one broken ore,

Given up on life and can’t endure anymore.

With fearful, frightened eyes,

In the distance a rough stone arch he spies.

Swiftly getting ushered towards the cave,

With waves pushing the boat, refusing to behave.

The Lonely sailor with his last burned cigarette,

Awaiting his eventual fate, that he had not met yet.

Death shining brighter than life,

Losing all his might and strife.

He eagerly awaits his dark fate into the deep abyss,

eventually moving with the strong current as he gets swept away into the darkness.

Ogie the ogre said…
But soon darkness subsides
And up comes the dawn
And the boat still sails
Gracefully like any other swan

The sailor deep asleep waiting
For his trials to end
Wakes up surprised to
See golden sunlight and
The sea beautifully blend

The morning tide brings
In the boat
Just a mile away from the
Silver coast

And so now he quickly rows
up the shore
To his home hearth
ﹰﹰand happiness more...

Lonely sailor sailed the ship with great fight indeed. Glad to see him with the last cigarette burned in the midst of fearful waves.
