Sanu's Space

Atop a light green blade of grass on a lawn, A shimmering moist dew drop sits in the early dawn. At the far end of this prairie, stands a small auburn hill, Filled with the blossoms of the Bougainville.  From a tall green branch, pinkish red flowers fly, Into the deep white clouded blue sky.  Leaving it’s existence behind.  Enticed and swept away by the wind, hopefully kind. Farewell to the others, on their branches, that cling, While little feathered creatures, chirp and sing.  Taking a leaf or two with it as it moves on, Crossing the mandarin sun, just waiting to be reborn.  Gracefully swaying and floating to the ground with care, Joining the dried out foliage lying crisply on the ground they now share.  Looking up at the new buds on the tree, A joyful new life traded in for an old one that is now free. 

Sun spearing through leaves in a park, covered in one too many bark.  A drop of sunlight gracefully falling on the side of an old fountain of Stone, standing tall and full of pride, but all alone.  Dark grey pools of water and moss, with a white stone edge rounding it right across.  Grey fountain statues wrapped in one another, as though they were once each other’s brother.  Still black water shimmering in the sunlight, this quaint little fountain, almost out of sight.  Into the water were coins tossed carelessly,  with dried floating leaves, nothing we could see.  Sitting on the bench nearby nonchalantly,  enjoying the cool breeze under the shade of the tall oak tree.  Scrumptious picnic baskets, on red checked blankets,  where an occasional little bird comes and sits.  Strips of green grass with red flowers smiling at the sun,  children running about, in the summer, ha...

Tottering in the woods; losing grip in the snow was a lost reindeer. Passing trees reflecting in wide brown eyes; tearing up with fear. Moving quickly, sliding on the slippery ground so wet, So cold she was and yet full of nervous sweat. Speeding, she scissored through the forest,  heart thumping; heading towards the way she knows best.  Leaping and Falling deep into a dark abyss. Down she went only to hear the wind with a soft hiss.  Heartbeat weak with death closing in with its icy hand;  not a sound to be heard in all the land.  Gods whisper, rest in peace reindeer! A calming hand upon her soul, trying to get home, her ultimate goal.  But she fought death tooth and nail, to get to her family of little ones without fail. As the dim rays of the morning sun fell upon her nose, towards the light, her head rose.  On her feet, though in pain, out of the ravine and on its way again.  With ...

Drizzled light falling on snow flaked branches; A marvellous year full of memories, both hers and his.  Shiny ornaments hung on corner trees, a wonderful moment to savour and seize.  Mellow lights and shadows bringing cheer, people indulging in extravagance to make life happier.  Shiny wooden tables reflecting the spotlight, drinks guzzled and dinner cherished with every bite.  Romantic couples taking their time and space,  with joyous chatter and excitement on their face.  Lingering there with wine filled, swirling glasses and savouring food,  all through the evening, a congenital vibe and a soothing mood.  Soft music floating through the air; With each other, delightful nostalgia we get to share.  Short stairway leading up to a heavenly meal; Something that means to us, a great deal.  Fine dining with crowds getting noisy; Drift away! The night is still young and so are we.  ...

Christmas season, the festive season; An exciting time to reflect and reason.  With warm hearts and falling snow, decked up fir trees lined up in a row. Turning far away cities and villages that stand, into a snow cold winter wonderland.  Warm gingerbread cookies and eggnog to share, vanilla and pine wafting through the air. Songs and bells ringing all around; attracting travellers with all their sound.  Foggy skies with a deep blue hue; endless lights and decorations too. Bells are ringing as children cheer; all around the place good wishes to hear.  Carrollers' singing famous tunes, up until the new year approaching soon. Santa on his reindeer’d sleigh;  to all at night a merry X'mas he will say. With gifts to give while all asleep,  through the chimney he will crawl and peep.  Bright little villages lined up with trees, endless valleys covered in yuletide snow and tiny creatur...

Among mountain islands, a sailboat floats, on an empty stretch of water with no other boats.  With the white moon above and icy currents below, bouncing unsteadily, casting a wavy shadow.  Watery reflections of twinkling diamonds fallen from the starry night sky; a cool, strong breeze pushes and drifts by. Dancing waters making the sail flutter, with it’s wooden hull cutting through, as smooth as salty butter. Hazy sun rising over the horizon, early morning, a soft whistling gale; as the morning birds sing. Bathing the sailboat in its first golden glow; gliding along its path easy and slow. Cutting through a strip of water now getting narrow. Mellow waters splashing around, with snowy foam and a washing sound. Don’t want to explore islands unknown; That are scattered around with lazy, tall mountains; standing alone. Better off at sea with the salty breeze,  the wild birds and geese. Light brown sandy slopes, care...

On a crescent shaped island with ocean submerged rocks, Contoured and covered in deep maroon sand; nice for pleasant walks. Beautiful lighthouse up on a broken hill standing high, For years, flashing its warning light; to boats and passers by. Glimpses of shiny ocean seen, in the valley down below, among leaves so green and flowers so keen. Narrow walking path leading up to a lonely little fort. Pleasant in the shadows but under the sun, hot. Leading us around the area are slim uneven pavements with a road that is steep. For most travellers so many wonderful memories to keep. Pathways dotted with little shops, restaurants and cafes; tourists can stay here in bliss for days. A few miles into the ocean is black volcanic rock, surrounded by deep azure water and springs that are hot. A few Boats and ships sailing around, with a long zigzag pathway to the dock; where they are bound....
